You can find peace anywhere if only you search for it. This is me meditating on a cliff below the George Washington Bridge in Manhattan a couple of months ago. And while I was there, a guy swam by in the river. Okay, so that's maybe not something I would recommend, given the Hudson River is quite polluted. But I'm sure the swimmer survived (he was accompanied by a friend in a kayak), and perhaps the river is his place of peace.
