Don't Forget to Appreciate What You Have
We all take too much for granted. We spend time daydreaming, ruminating on problems, and planning for the future. We forget to enjoy what we already have: the amazing people in our lives, lovers, friends, family, our beautiful homes, and the wondrous nature outside our windows ... Everything can be taken from us in an instant, and then we wish we had appreciated them more. Stay present, and always tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.
On a side note, Haruki Murakami is one of my favorite authors. If you haven't read any of his works yet, I wholeheartedly recommend them. He developed his unique style by writing in a second language instead of his native Japanese.
